At Oak Green School we aim to build each child’s self-worth through encouragement, nurture, positive relationships, clear and safe boundaries and routines. Our goal is to develop brave, confident, independent and responsible individuals who aspire to achieve their individual goals and are prepared for the next stage in their learning. We aim to increase every child’s cultural capital and aim to articulate this through our four curriculum drivers; Love of Reading, The Arts, Outdoor Learning and Experiences. 

Our Ethos:

At Oak Green School our children come first.  We know that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to speak freely about their own opinions and be heard. We encourage this through enriching, high-quality learning experiences and open-ended opportunities that allow them to build values for life such as; honesty, respect, friendship,  kindness, trust and fairness.  Our four drivers are woven through our curriculum so that our children know more, do more and remember more. We respect the diversity of backgrounds, religions, cultures and languages in our community. We strive to foster open communication and collaboration with families and the wider community, enabling our pupils to feel connected to the world around them. We are committed to the families we serve, providing support and encouragement. We aim to provide a safe learning environment with a welcoming atmosphere which creates a sense of belonging amongst the families. We believe in each and every one of our children and know that if they believe in themselves too they will achieve their goals and succeed in their future.
