Our Facilities and Grounds
Oak Green School was purpose-built in 1950* and is a stylish example of the period. We take very good care of our attractive premises and grounds and make every use of them, inside and outside.
Our facilities include: bright, well-equipped classrooms, Early Years accommodation, ARP classes and additional rooms for learning, enticing library, large hall/gym and stage, separate dining room and large kitchen, ‘Lounge’ and spaces for communication, music and drama studio, food technology room, Family Hub, wellbeing room, medical room, meeting/training room, offices and staff room. We have very good curriculum resources for all subjects, including computing.
Outside at school, we enjoy: our outdoor learning spaces, large playing fields and sports grounds, playgrounds with outdoor gym and play equipment, Forest School, courtyard with fruit and vegetable garden, large pond and outdoor library area, in addition to the resources offered by our town and local area. We continue our development of outdoor learning with new additions – outdoor classroom shelters, covered areas, additional seating, ahead of refurbishment of the play areas and equipment as well as Early Years playground and new bike shelters.
