Family Hub Service Summer Events – Fun, free days out for children aged 0 – 10. No need to book. Just turn up!

DROP-IN SUPPORT:
If you are worried about the summer holidays you should know you are not alone. Elmhurst Drop In is a friendly, free space to get advice and support on anything from parenting to finances. There is no need to book, you can just drop in or call:

GROUP COURSES

Our September group course dates are now live. We have a range of courses including Talking Teens, Nurture and Keeping Your Child in Mind, as well as Little Talkers and Balanceability. Courses for young people
The Family Hub Service offers a range of courses and workshops for children and young people that are designed to strengthen resilience, support emotional wellbeing, and equip them with practical strategies to manage change and navigate challenges with confidence. These programmes can provide valuable support during this important transition period for year 6 young people. Posters are attached.
1. How to Build Confidence & Self-Esteem Online Course for Young People
- Who: Young people in school year 7 and above
- When: Tuesdays 15 September – 13 October, 6pm–7pm OR Tuesdays 3 November – 1 December, 6-7pm
- What: 5-session online course covering:
- Why the media affects self-image
- Coping with setbacks
- Handling peer pressure
- Feeling better about ourselves
2. How to Deal with Stress, Anxiety & Low Mood Online Course for Young People
- Who: Young people in school year 7 and above
- When: Tuesdays 22 September to 20 October, 6pm to 7pm OR Tuesdays 11 November – 9 December, 6-7pm
- What: 5-week online course covering:
- Understanding stress, anxiety, and low mood
- Strategies to feel better
- Dealing with setbacks
- Planning for a brighter future
3. How to Move Up to Secondary School Online Workshop for Year 6s
- Who: Year 6s
- When: Wednesday 26 August, 1.30-3.30pm
- What: A two-hour online workshop covering:
- What to expect at secondary school
- Making friends and dealing with peer pressure
- Tackling your fears and worries
- Getting organised
