Dear parents and carers,
Oak Green School will be holding a non-school uniform day on Tuesday 21st July 2026 (the last day of term) to fundraise for Buckinghamshire Mind.
Year 6 pupils are invited to come to school wearing non-school uniform, but may also bring a separate school shirt for signing.
There are days when all of us struggle with how we are feeling. Things can get tough, and it can be difficult knowing how to cope. For so many people, when this happens, they don’t always get the help they need, when they need it. They don’t know where to turn, who to talk to, or even if anyone else feels the same. No one should feel alone with their mental health. But together, we can change this.
Buckinghamshire Mind is run by local people for local people and is responsible for its own funding and the services it provides. Therefore, they rely on donations and community fundraising, which underpin all their vital mental health services. This support makes an incredible difference, ensuring they can be there to support our community’s mental health needs now and in the future.
To take part, we’d like to ask parents and carers to consider donating to help Buckinghamshire Mind to keep fighting for mental health. Our suggested donation is £1 which can be donated in cash on Tuesday 21st July 2026 to your child’s class teacher or you may make your donation via this Just Giving page.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Turn up the volume on reading this summer!
This summer, Buckinghamshire Libraries and The Reading Agency invite children to discover the joy of reading through Read to the Beat! — the music-themed Summer Reading Challenge 2026.
Celebrating music & sound –exploring how music and storytelling unite. This year children can personalise their challenge by selecting up to six reading goals. They'll collect stickers for each goal reached, with a medal and certificate for everyone who completes six goals.
As part of the National Year of Reading, libraries are encouraging families to make reading part of their summer adventures. Children can sign up at the library or online, set their reading goals, and enjoy rewards along the way
The Summer Reading Challenge is produced by The Reading Agency and delivered in partnership with libraries across the country. The 2026 Challenge is powered by Universal Music UK.
