Christmas Jumper Swap to reduce waste and raise money for the charity ‘Save the Children’.
What are you planning to do with your old Christmas jumper?
Consumer campaign, Love Your Clothes, found that over 10 million people in the UK are likely to buy a Christmas jumper and 40% would wear them just once or twice.
At Oak Green School, we are organising a Christmas Jumper Swap to reduce waste and raise money for the charity ‘Save the Children’.
Here's how to participate:
Step 1: Bring in your unwanted Christmas jumper(s) (any size or age from baby to adult) in a bag and hand it to your child’s class teacher by Friday 26th November
Step 2: Pop along to the Christmas jumper stall on the school playground on Monday 29th November from 3pm and buy a pre-loved one for a small donation of £1.
Step 3: Send your children into school on Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday 8th December (Wednesday 15th December for Year 5) wearing their gorgeous preloved Christmas jumper and enjoy the warm feeling that you get from making a Christmas purchase whilst supporting a worthy cause and reducing waste. A contribution of £1 should be made via ParentPay and this will also go to ‘Save the Children’.
Any unsold jumpers will be donated to charity.
Thank you for your support.
