Home Learning at Oak Green School

Weekly spellings, reading and times tables are expected to be learnt and these will be recorded by your child in their home school diary.

Your child will also have a ‘jigsaw’ sheet stuck into their home school record each half term. There will be a series of activities on the sheet for your child to complete over the half term.

Your child chooses one activity per week if they are in Early Years or KS1 and two activities in they are in KS2.

When your child completes the activity they, or you, need to date it.

Your child can complete the same activity more than once over the half term if they choose to, and it is not necessary to complete every activity.

If your child produces something on paper, a plastic wallet will be provided so they can bring it to school in a neat condition to be used for display.

You can include photos of your child completing an activity if you wish, or write a short sentence in their home school record as evidence eg, bake some cakes together

Some of the activities will be based on your child’s theme in topic, science or English for the half term.

Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you require any further assistance.
